    Default Surf Fishing Rod

    Hey guys just picked up an Ambassadeur 5500c3. Whats a nice cheap rod I can pair it with. I want to do some surf fishing with it so I know it has to be 7'-9' also what line should I use for swimbaits/ crankbaits.

    I have a shimano cardiff 300 i use with a fenwick hm7 8'5" med. Rated for 8lb to 14lb line rating. It depends if you like a longer rod .i can throw my hard baits a mile. I also use it for carolina rigged baits,and heavier large drop shotting in the bays, and jettys. Hope this helps.

    thanks for the tips Pudd ended up picking a really cheap rod from the local sports authority until I'm able to afford a better one
