Fishing The Flats Today 02-01-2009

I got to the Vine at 5:30am. Not too many people at this time. Thanks Steelers!!! I called to see if my Bud Chuck aka Koshaw had arrived. He was there 3 cars from the gate, I was a little further back. As I was about to go threw the gate,there was one of my favorite Vine Employees... Patrick aka Troutman65. In his shorts and is sick with a cold Men. Do you owned pants Patrick?!
Koshaw was waiting for me a little passed the gates,because he never fished the Flats and had no idea where it was. Got to my favorite spot and it was already taken. There was plenty of space! Thanks again Steelers.
Koshaw and I set up and waited about 1/2 hour and... fish on! My first!
Sweeeet. I didn't grab the camera! The next one up was Chuck! Here's a pic:

Then my favorite Vine Employee came by to say hello... Blart (The Mall Guy) Just kidding Patrick. He is sporting his new jacket,nice TM65!



Check out Chuck's new custom made rod... It's 12ft. tall! Nice.



I got one more Trout. My biggest was 2 lbs.



Things slow down,it was like pulling teeth for the rest of the day. Koshaw got his limit,but it took almost the whole day to get it!
I caught two.

I did see my favorite rod maker Emilio aka Pargo. He gave me some smoked fish he did the night before. He said he had to fight off the wolves that was trying to get my smoke fish! Thanks for beating off those animals! I know I will enjoy it.
I missed seeing my favorite Volunteer Mitz. Patrick said he was there,but he didn't stop by to say hello. I'm sooo sad

Nice report & pics. Cindy. As a matter of fact I don't own a pair of pants. Congrats on your catch. Thats better than a Skunk for sure. Chucks new 12' fishing rod sure is nice. You can cast it a country mile . I think that helped him get his limit too. See you at the lake next time.
