Hey fishmounter do you have any mounts of the possible world record? According to some sources on the internet the Bluegill you have in your picture is indeed the world record, but there was a larger one(length wise) caught that wieghed less.

Hey Ifishtoolittle, That WR Bluegill is 15 inches long! Where on the internet did you find out that there is a longer one? I would like to find out more about that fish.

Man those are huge gills. What would be the approx age of these huge gills? My son and I caught some gills on CD5's near rockclimbers cove @ Perris

Damn That's a HUGE bluegill. I released one over a decade ago that was over 12" at a private rock quarry fishing bass w/ a whole Jumbo nightcrawler.
That thing kicked my *** on 4lb.

    I think beeracuda's got a point.
You see ppl loading up w/ buckets full!
There'd be alotta toad gills if they weren't so tasty.

Why do you think that Barrett has so many giants? Strickly C & R there! There might be a few in Perris that will be close to the WR, but I really don't think there's 100 that size. Remember this fish was caught there a few years ago...
    fits exactly in a pan...lol...
