Thread: World Record Bluegill

    Default World Record Bluegill

Here's a photo of the 4 lb 12 oz. World Record Bluegill replica mount molded from the original skin mount from 1950! Pretty impressive sized 'Gill when you consider that a dollar bill is 6 inches long! I think there is a larger one in Lake Perris!

you guys should keep the smaller pan sized ones and release the toads so that one day there will be a record come out of there... ever thought about that? instead of keeping hundreds of them, let them get big and fat!! LOL

Beeracuda211 is 100% correct! We need to release all big Bluegills. In Perris I would say release all that are over 9 inches. I don't keep ANY large ones. Why do you think that Barrett has so many giants? Strickly C & R there! There might be a few in Perris that will be close to the WR, but I really don't think there's 100 that size. Remember this fish was caught there a few years ago...

it would be nice if everyone thinks that way but thats not reality...everyone is out to kill kill...not all fish caught are posted on here so about 90% of the fish caught goes under the radar
