Kali, Bullets and Lil' Miss first time at NPH (6-10-07)
Tired of going to the same place, we googled NPH looking for public docks and headed out. Ghost shrimp was what we used. I also threw out a few different lures but didn't get anything. Finally after an hour or so my pole goes bendo. I didn't get to it in time though because I was throwing the lure out on the other side of the dock. Then I just decided to do the bait and wait. Some guy in a sailboat pulls up and completely took up the front of the dock. There was a little room to throw out. He was a real nice guy though. While we're all chatting I feel my pole get slammed and it's finally fish on. It was a dink sand bass but I didn't care. Tee skunk was off my back!
Bait back up and after about 10 minutes I feel my pole getting tapped. It played with the bait for a bit but eventually took off with it. It fought like a 3 lb rainbow trout but ended up being a little smoothehound, my first ever one of those.
Poor Bullets and Lil' Miss weren't even getting bit. I had a few more hits but they wouldn't take. Then FINALLY Celeste's pole gets hit. Like a champ she grabs the pole, sets the hook and reels it in all by herself. It was her first ever smoothehound.
A tad later Bullets finally gets a hit, but couldn't get it. I did get one more smoothehound though.

Kali - 1 sand bass & 2 smoothehound sharks
Lil' Miss - 1 Smoothehound shark
Bullets - striped (as in skunk, not bass)
