1-15 OC Report
Ok night. 3 of us out and 3 legals. 2, 1, 0. Pretty calm, lower tide and warm. Lots of shorts and I had 2 that were "probably" legal but just a tad short with my + 1/16" gauge so back they went. Tagged a dog with my paintball gun but he still somehow managed to get my salmon head out of a cage that was zip tied closed TWICE. Gilled a tree fish in one net and a seal came by and bit off half of it. Left it in the net (is that legal? I don't know if it was a "fin fish") since it was so tangled in there. It seemed to produce 3-4 shorts every pull and they were all over the tree fish. One pull I thought I had another legal as it was looooong. The tail looked 8" alone but skinny. Measured it and it was a good 1/4" short. Odd looking bug. Looks like rain all week. Bummer.
