Default Corona Lake 1/19 Limits w/PICS

Hit up Corona Lake this MLK holiday with buddy drew and my lil sister, i couldnt wait to try out my new saros. Arrived around 5:30 and began fishing around 6:30. Thought it would be crowded with boats but it wasnt so bad. We started out slow with no bites until 8 am, first fish was a dink. The lake is now full, but the water is still very dirty. Weather was nice not too cold and later on around noon sun came out and it got quite hot out there. So after that first dink, i caught another dink, so we decided to move. Turns out this was a good decision. Most fish were caught using salmon egg/peach powerbait on 6 inch leaders. We were about 10-20 feet from shore casting out towards middle of the lake. Green trout trap jigs also worked when fished slowly along the bottom, some fish even hit while the jig had been sitting in the water for 20 minutes without moving. We ended up catching a total of 15 fish and if my bud drew wouldn't have missed so many hits on the jig, we could have easily come home with 20+ trout.

First nice one of the day, caught after we moved to our new honeyhole on powerbait.

    My sister's first ever trout

My buds first trout of the day

My personal best trout, caught on my new saros whoo hoo!! weighed about 3 pounds.

After i caught that 3 pounder, drew felt the need to 1up me and landed this 4 pounder.

    another one by my sis

We ended the day with this huge stringer full of fish!
Thanks for reading, and remember, keep those lines tight!
