Vine in 09 Fishing Report

Woke up at 3 am and got pick up by Bassin chef (Gambino) around 3:50 . We then proceeded to pick up him friend Carlos. Got to the vine around 4:50 with a long line already. As soon as we got there met up with Cappo and Ositto (and his pops). Got a pontoon and we where off by 6:30 . Was pretty much slim picking. Bassin chef hook up the first one on his ECHO PARK SPECIAL BAIT< and everyone thought it would bust open but nope. Carlos Dropshotting managed 2 bluegill on the first spot. I managed 2 in this spot on the 213 SPECIAL. After it died we headed to spot number to we stay there for about 20 mins because it was to shallow in this spot. Stop 3 was the last stop. Cappo (USED THE COMPTON SPECIAL TO LIMIT OUT) and I managed a limit while the rest managed to get at least one fish in this spot. Called it quits around 12:45 to head to the gathering.

Nice meeting new people there.
Back to the salt for me after this. :) Air is to thin in freshwater for me haha j/k

It was good fishing with everyone. Started off slow and picked up once we found the hotspot. Compton Special was working good. LOL. It was funny putting Larissa's kids on the fish on their first casts back to back.

Had a good time at the event also. Good to meet some of you other peeps.

Juan, it's about time you exacted your revenge on the fish at the Vine for their reluctance to bite during last years catfish season.
