Does anyone know if someone here at FN.net posted a few photos a while back that showed some great fish species that he painted on custom wrapped rods? A bass, Rainbow Trout, Yellowtail, etc.. It might have been on this site or possibly another fishing/lure making website. I can't remember things ...dead brain cells from too much toxic resin/paint fumes.

I agree. Check out Bloody Decks. Some very talented dudes on there. Also check out rodbuilding.org. Great site.

I know guys who paint on wraps but a large majority of builders either weave with thread, or use pre-made decals. I personally prefer the decals. They come in a clear background, with most fish species made. If you are looking to have one done on a rod, check out mudhole.com. They have an excellent selection of great decals.
