Default First Successful gill hunting of the year 1.14.09

Went out today with Lizzay to hunt down some gills. went to the deepest part of the lake and let a couple crickets loose down deep and it didnt take long before we found our fist victim

caught a couple more all in the same area and than the sun came out in full effect making it very hot to be out there so we decided to give the gills a break at around noon. here's a couple more pic:

    all this size:

lizzay with a couple nice 2lbers:

    release a whole bunch more

Wowsers, nice job on them gills. I'm stuck here in Tucson Az for another week and I'm itching for some fishing. Congrats on a great trip and thanks for update. BTW leave some fish for me to catch when I get home.
