Got off from work early today and naturally wanted to do some fishing. Wanted to get up to a creek to do some fly fishing and hiking. On my way out the door, I got a call from the woman telling me to pick my son up from preschool. Ok, now I have a fishing partner but creek fishing is a little above his level. Instead, we went to the Pudd. Went to the north shore and threw out some PB for nothing. A guy cruised by on a bass boat throwing a swim bait and informed us that they just stocked at the launch ramp and it was wide open. So off we went. We found a little spot but had brush on both sides of us. Pretty tight quarters specially with the lil' boy. Seemed they were after luers and since my son is too young to cast one, my job was to cast it and hook the fish... his job was to reel it in. Started throwing a Thomas B. Seemed like every cast was a bite. Probably fished for an hour and landed about 5. All fish were released.
The first fish actually got foul hooked on his dorsal.... we thought we had a big one till we realized what had happened...
Few bendo shots...
Showing off some of his catch...
Told the lil' fisherman I would make him whatever he wanted for dinner after his good day of fishing... PANCAKES!!!
