    Default Guasti lake 1/03/09

i woke up late about 9:30am, call fishing pop see if he want to go guasti lake, got pick up, got there about 10:45am front gate, checking our equipment, testing its out new model phenix Elixis trout FX900-2 w/ shimano sarso 1000 w/ 2lb izorline xxx and one before phenix 8' w/ shimano symetre 500. as we walk down checking front lake nothing going, people say some guy catch 3 of ten trouts, so as we walk down to dock, checking its out, start casting out, the action of 9' its better, great casting distance but good control, my pop casting its out 8' still needed work on casting more further, as we walk down last place back side of cove, seeing school of trout about 30 or so going circle, left and right, i set up and checking color of jig its be perfect for cloudy day , light sun light, shad pattern type, first try on black/shad first cast bang!, reeling in 3lb, second on rainbow shad cast out less than 5 crank, then bang again reeling in 3lb, rest little bit, then pops cast out grasshopper type, caught close to shore, then about 2lb, then start, then till 3pm start leaving we got total: 9 trouts together

    post pics here my pops
    thanks

tubes and dropshotted worms seem to be the ticket for trout when everythng else is not producing.
