    Default Another BV toad 1/2/2009

Well I took My nephews fishing, They don't get to go very often. Their dad works nights so...usually asleep in the day, so I take them now & then to get them out of the house & try to keep them hooked on outdoors stuff. Anyways
it was miserable cold & fishing was slow with quite a few people out fishing.
I go weekly & have been doing pretty well on the 2-3 pounders. This week They stocked only big ones & yes up to 25 pounds as mentioned! They did say that it's only happening once this year. Well My 11 year old nephew landed one, He was pretty stoked & I was happy for Him! So thought I would share with U'all

BV is a mud hole but during the trout season they plant nice size fish. The lake is too shallow and warm in the summer to have any holdovers but man they have been loading it with toads this year.

    Hey, I know that spot

Unfortunately it wasn't producing for me yesterday.

I started by west ramp for one fish early. Tracker was getting them over by where this pic was taken. He ended up with a limit plus a few lost. I ended up with just one. It was slooooow for everyone but Travis.

We all need to try and coordinate and all get together soon.

Nice job getting your nephew on that fatty "Uncle Buck", that is a photo to be treasured for years to come. So what do BV toads like to eat these days?
