Thread: Live Crickets

    Default Live Crickets

I never knew that live crickets were only $1.00 for 31 crickets. Apparently the trick is to buy them 2-3 days ahead of time. You feed them garlic or strong cheese for 2-3 days. Domestic garlic is $.50 for 1 bulb. Chinese imported garlic is 5 bulbs for $.50. Yes the domestic is stronger because of the long boat ride across the pacific. However it is NOT twice as strong. The ExoTerra critter cage was around $3.50.

Don't know any place where I can get them that cheap.
Care to share the name of the place?

Actually after bringing them home I realized that they for sure gave me more than 31! This is where I get my reptile supplies. They are very nice people and one of the cheapest stores around.

Thanks! Right down the street from me. I have been wanting to try the crickets down here for a while! They work great in Bishop

Yeah, reptile stores are the trick. You can get quite a few crickets for a buck or too.

lakeside liquor in perris has the biggest crickets ive ever seen! they always give you waaaay more than you ask for too. i think its hard to count a bunch of crickets hopping around lol.

petco also sells crickets but they tend to actually count them and there pathetic little things.
