    Default 1/1/09 Fish, Booze, Blood (Tons of Pics)

    Decided last night to take the son and woman to Irvine for the first time. Called up DCCFisherman and the trip was on. Got there around 5:15 and got a pretty good spot in line. Since we have never been there before, our plan was to pretty much to follow everyone else and of course we ended up at Trout Island. DccFisherman casted out and had a fish on with in 5 minutes. We both got 2 each right away. Then it got pretty slow for us. OL came over and informed us that there was a whole crew of members fishing just to the right of us so we took a little break to say hi and meet everyone. Nice to meet all of you! Sorry my son was being shy GMoney... He gets that way sometimes. After awhile, the bite picked up just enough for me to pick up 2 more fish which my lil guy had a blast reeling in. Overall, it was pretty slow for us. We were using powermouse rigs getting most of our luck on white power eggs.

    Got a lil bloody but Gunner never left my side... ha ha

    Awesome. A slow day of fishing when you're not getting skunked is a great day of fishing :) I didn't even know Irvine was open today.

    Hey, who invited this guy to the lake?....j/k I'm glad you all came out for the day.

    You will fit right in with a lot of the people that fish the Vine.


    It was great getting to meet all of you and I look forward to seeing you out on the water.
    There are a lot of tubers that fish the Vine on FNN and I am sure that they will offer you any assistance and/or advise you need.

    I know it was slow out there but you guys did all right. No for you guys!
