Looks like you guys had a blast down there. A bunch of us should get together and head down for a mini vac/road trip. I can think of a few who would love to go and hang out with Team 57!!! OFG

Hey you two, great going on the Rockfish and other assorted species!!!

I have always wanted to go fishing down there, but I will stick to the day trips out of Shelter Island for now for obvious reasons. Besides, I still need to get a passport.

Since some of the people thinking of going down to Baja are my friends, I thought that it might be a good idea for them to research travel conditions in Mexico before they attempt the journey.




It sounds like a lot of people have made the trip safely. They either know what they were doing, or they just got lucky. I would hate to hear that anyone got robbed, or worse while heading down into Baja for some fishing fun in the sun.

For anyone who wants to go to Mexico with Rich be aware that:

1) Rich speaks fluent Spanish

2) Rich drives the speedlimit and slower

3) Rich has the calming affect on semi-nervous passengers

4) He pays his share

5) He can fish

Man nicely done sansou. Those are some good looking fish. I bet the lucanus jigs would be awesome there. Thanks for the report. Hopefully I can get in on one of those trips someday.
