    Default 12/26-12/27 back-to-back limits!

I was out on the 21st and 22nd for the tourney(still have pics and report to upload, but have been sick/out of town/without internet access/busy for the past week ) and had a really tough time putting fish on the boat, this past Friday and Saturday I had my revenge

    Friday the 26th:
After spending most of the week sick and stuck in house I was itching to get my line wet again, especially after seeing 2Quickmotorwerks 2-DD fish!

How many DDs did you catch Omar? "TWO BABY"

So Friday I decided to be a "Starbuck fisherman", thats where you don't get out of bed until at least 6am when Starbucks opens Got a text from TeamBTK and it sounded like I was missing out on the bite! Got to the lake around 7:30 and my Team57 buddys made some room for me in a prime spot....thank you! Fishing that day was Bullets, Tater, kalidawg, Lucky, 2Quick, his sidekick FastFreddy, Timster aka "Timmytillo", Troutaholic and later DirtyGirl and G-man aka fishingbrat. Got a few visits from TM65 while making his rounds, he looked pretty happy out there....rolling in his shorts while everyone was bundled up! We even got guest appearances from legends Trolly and later in the afternoon Doctorhook! I know I am forgetting the gentleman who I was introduced to first thing in the morning, but unfortunately I can't recall his name. We did not get a chance to chat much as I was fishing opposite of him and my poles were keeping me very busy Someone help me out if you could please....

I was very disturbed when I saw what could very well have been "LILTrolly", DNA tests are still pending though....my first thought was Koshaw and Mondo21 had begun their crawdad pillaging campaign of terror!

Trolly's "Big Red One" beached while on tackle recon after he forgot all his hooks at home!

It was a little chilly out there, kalidawg and Bullets(pictured) were shriveling up and I thought they were going to pass out from the 50 degree weather!

Check out the bird chillin on Tater's pole....that little guy was hopping from pole to pole as we watched it do its thing.

With the cool weather comes good trout fishing....I was lucky enough to land my limit of hard fighting chunks like this! Berkley powerworms and amino eggs were the ticket for me....if you have yet to try them you are missing the boat!

    G-Man with another nice fish!

Special thanks to DirtyGirl for the hot lunch she whipped up for everyone....spicy sausages on a fresh roll and ice cold Coronas. YEAH BOY!!!!

Just another perfect day at the "Jewel of OC"

    Sat Dec 27th:
After a very productive day Friday and a Saturday free to fish again, I told Timster "Timmytillo" and 2Quick"DD Labonte"motorwerks I would meet them for another slay session....

We met up off the point at DoctorhookIsland and set up our gear for the day. I think we were all surprised when DirtyGirl and Garrett showed up for another day on the water....talk about a hardcore fishin Mom and Son team! Chrissy went and outdid herself again....hot links, carne asada with all the fixins and some awesome brownies for dessert I know I already said it,but THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! You and your son are always a pleasure to fish with.

Omar about to sample the killer spread

2Quick got around as usual....looks like he is soaking up all the info last year's Master champion was willing to share with him!

Fishing was pretty solid for us as well as the lucky anglers around the point with us, I was fortunate to see quite a few lunkers brought in on Saturday. Including O_L hoisting his prized catch from his rental boat outside the buoys.

2Quick continued the big fish parade and nailed this beauty(not my pic, Berkely guys snapped it) WTG Huggy, 6lbs of solid fun!

Gentleman to the right of us caught a nice fish, he was playing great tunes all day and I was hoping he would catch something good....WTG Jose!

Green pb and plastics accounted for most hook ups based on what I saw....Timmytillo on the bendo!

Timster reveals the secret to his trout catching success....indicator in mouth prior to hanging on line

It was nice to enjoy a little warmer weather Saturday, got a chance to take off the jacket and long sleeve shirts for a change. After completing the "honeydew" list, trout Sensei Doctorhook showed up to join in on the fun! Art thank you again for the pasole and tamales....your wife is an amazing cook! I am very lucky person to have you and your family as friends.

Just when you think they're done....

As always the day goes by way to fast, reality sets in when lake Patrol makes the final lap of the day....

Current water level from campground....got water?

It was great spending time with friends at the Vine this holiday weekend....I'm very fortunate to know such a great group of people. Thanks for putting up with my antics.

Hitts,MVW,TeamBuracho I will be posting pics from last week's trip(skunks and near skunks)asap, you know I got love for ya right.
