    Default Lagoon Saturday

    Headed to Castaic Saturday and decided at the last minute to fish the lagoon for the first time. Started chucking the big swimbaits with no love and a very painful arthritic wrist after about half an hour and swithed to dropshot. Found the magic depth right off the bat.
    30 - 35 feet towards the dam end of the lake. Caught about 15 bass (1 - 3 lbs.)and half dozen trout, all on the MMIII. Seems that was the only thing they would take. The trout were thick and taking the tails off our baits all day, unfortunately they were all in the 10 - 12" range.

    Sorry no photos, tooooo cold to get the camera out.

    Good job out there at there at the lagoon never been. Maybe I'll give the lagoon a try next weekend. I sure do miss going out to DVL how about you? Maybe sometime next year they will start pumping some water.
