    Default Vail lake 12-23 report...

I did a trip to Vail on Tuesday.
We caught about 15-18 bass and we only fished until about 12:30 in what was a very tough post frontal bite...
The bass were again schooled up on isolated outside trees and bushes in 25-28 ft of water...but because of the sudden dramatic drop on water temp over the last 5 days (it dropped about 8-10 degrees), these bass were still getting adjusted to the new temps...but as soon as the weather gets stable these bass will bite like crazy again.

All of the bass were caught fishing verticly with spoons.

No really big bass on this day but the biggest was still a nice 3 1/2 lber.

This bite is about ready to bust loose because the water temps have dropped into the low to mid 50s so these fish are really starting to group up in deeper water. When that happens the spoon bite goes off the chart!!!!
