river near needles?

will be going through needles in a few days and am thinking of doing some fishing in the colorado river near there for panfish and bass. I have never been fishing in the river yet, so does anyone know where I should go and what I should use? thanks.

Sebastian323 for the pan fish try Topock Marsh its just past needles , its also good for bass , but more for pan fish , But your gana need a boat or just rent one there , Good luck and dont forget to report back with pics .
