Default Perfect Day at the Goon

I’ve been under the weather lately so I haven’t been out fishing in a few days. I finally got out this morning and hit the Lagoon in search of RayLo’s bass. The weather was perfect and the water was flat, but the bass weren’t in the mood to play. There were trout jumping everywhere and the shore fishermen were out in full force.

In the back center of the Goon, the trout were coming up and I actually pulled one in on my bass gear. If I would have brought my trout gear out there, I would have loaded up today.

As is usually the case when floating around the Goon with no bass, I decided to take some pictures of the heron that always sits on the shore of the campground side. It is a cool bird and lets you get pretty close before taking off.

One day until Christmas. Stay away from the mall and hit the Goon instead.

Were you using a 4 1/2" curly tail hologram shad?

if i was in a boat i would of been slow trolling a swimbait. I saw tons of action in the middle of the lake of bass jumping trout.

hey don't knock the curly tail i caught most of my bass on them tiny little buggers.

hence the reason i call them my skunk busters
