UK Shark Fishing 5/31

Im back from a two week trip trip to England.
Managed to get one fishing trip in this year.Fished for
Tope,which is a small shark,grows up to 70 pounds,but
only puts on a pound a year in weight.
We had a 9 hour trip out of Brancaster,Norfolk
with a top notch captain.
All fish were measured,weighed and tagged for release,
the details sent to the Britsih Shark Society.
One item of interested is they have never caught a
tagged fish,so thier migratory habits must be huge.

Looks like you had a great trip!

That is a pretty nice sea state for the North Sea. The only time I was there it was NASTY. Is that the usual for this time of year or did you just get lucky? I've been told it's a rare thing to get a calm day there.

Scott ... we got lucky this year , a comfortable westerly
force 3 wind , sunny in the morning , thunderstorms in
the afternoon.

We were booked on the same boat last year , but
got cancelled due to a gale force northernly.
