Sometime next year for sure!

As for the eel grass, not much that you can do about it. Time to brush up on your Bass fishing techniques. Swimbaits with a weed guard and start finessing.
Arthur, good deal! We'll plan something for next year.

As for the eel grass, what sux is that its both growing on the bottom and floating on top.
So either way you're kinda screwed.
I think next time, I'll bring some weedless jig heads.

If you want to avoid the eel grass try drop shotting a 4 or 5in plastic (zoom fluke or other large mouth bass drop shot minnows) with a long enough gap between the lure and sinker so the lure floats above the grass. Texas rigged (weedless) grubs also work really well spotties. You could even try some topwater lures if you feel like it!
BSP, time is something you make....hehehe.
And there is always time to fish!!
You'll get out there soon and make us all green with jealousy!

That was the "not too shabbiest" report I have seen in ... ever.

I'm rather jeleous because while you guys were out there slaying the fishies, i was standing at a booth at a convention in San Diego. Thursday Friday and Saturday the weather was spectacular and then my boss keeps me a day longer just so that I could fish San Diego on Sunday... and Sunday it F'ing rained (as is apparent in the pics that Joe put up).

Joe - Congratualtions on your elusive gray ghost.

Sansou - Where's all the Sheepheads mang??

What a way to end the fishing year.

    you bastards.

    Love,

    KK
That's mighty big coming from the L3g3nd!!
Yeah, I think this is the most not-shabbiest report I've had all year!!
We'll go next year bro. Save your energy for the RF till next year.
They grow big and abundant in San Quintin!!

Wouldn't be surprised. There was no shortage of bait in the water.

Rich, thanks for sharing some of the fish today. I'm sure that this time tomorrow night I'm going to really want to give it a go.

Maverick, check out Sansou's thread in the Rendezvous section, he's got some prices on there and that should give you an idea on the trip cost. http://fishingnetwork.net/forum4/showthread.php?t=26758

I know, the cost seems pretty reasonable.
I wish I can go but I gotta pass this time.
