WHat pier are you planning on going to? I've hoop Dondo near the rock on my yak before and have caught bug. There have been ugs caught there as well but from poachers. You might give Dondo pier a try I've personally never caught lobsters ther but plenty of those yummy rock crabs.
i have a good feeling about this season .. i am very excited .. only a couple more hours till i start searching for the little critters

I personally hate the piers (too many poachers) I only do it cuz gas is expensive. Since this year I have hook-ups I'll be hooping from my boat more.
