you must fish at 50 - 100 feet depth and right outside newport harbor, like near the pier. good luck guys! thanks for your comments!

We were 8 miles south in 300 feet of water. Although last night people were getting the squid from Newport Pier.

i was catching the squid at about 50' depth, then later they became more comfortable and i was getting bites as soon as my line went 10' down.

according to both Duc's and my experience out there last night, seems the squid are biting everywhere!

From the Pier all the way south of Newport harbor.
