Fear No Trout to receive $30,000 for Manzanar Fishermen Film

I have just returned on Saturday, May 26th from Sacramento from a meeting with the California State Librarian and the CCLPEP (California Civil Liberties Public Education Program) Advisory Committee and I am please to announced that I was awarded a partial grant of $30,000.00 for my "From Barbed Wire to Barbed Hooks" documentary film.

The project goal is to raise $165,000.00 by the year end of 2007.

A friend of mine is throwing a fundraiser and has pledge an addtional $5,000.00.

I just finalized my internship with Manzanar, and I am going!! I will be there from June 18th-Dec. 18th. I am definitely hopin to see you down there at some point and also to fish with you as well. :D

I was also just told by my professors that I can use this internship for college credit. Which means as a possible elective to finish my masters degree OR I can use this to write my masters thesis. I have to meet with the program coordinator at APU and finalize it! Hopefully it all works out.

But that is great for you. I look forward to seeing you at Manzanar and possibly seeing your film someday.
