Default FishBandit on Fire at Catalina Island 8-18

After a successful trip fishing trip on 8/15, FishBandit and I decided on fishing Catalina Island. We decided on our old faithful, the Pursuit out of 22nd St. Landing.
Headed straight for the island since there was plenty of bait in the bait tank. Nice cured sardines mixed with a few anchovies.

Fished towards the back side of the island and ended the day near the front side.

There were 40 plus anglers so FB and I had the same idea, off to the bow of the boat with our jig sticks. Mint Tady C for me and mint and silver for FishBandit. Second cast and FB hooks a nice yellow.

Threw the surface iron for an hour and came up empty, so calico bass fishing we go. We caught a few.

Fishing got slow so the captain made a move. Meet some nice people out on the water today.

The next spot produces a ton of bonita, average fish was 4lbs and easy limits for me and FB. Than FB hooks onto to a larger fish while fly lining a sardine.

10 minutes later we have color!!

    Another yellow for FB today.

    Nice going FB.
All in all it was a good day to be out on the water.
    Fishcount: 43 passengers caught 3 Yellowtail, 10 Whitefish, 75 Halfmoon, 8 Sheephead, 67 Calico Bass, 153 Bonito, 5 Barracuda.
Once again I lost the prop bet for largest fish against Fishbandit, so we headed towards Cambinos Asian BBQ in Cypress. I talk to the owner and he said that he would be delight to accept the coupon I took a photo of. Just save image on your desktop and print it out. Here's a coupon for those that want one:

Once again thanks for reading and good luck on your next fishing adventure, Pokerface.

Hot stick for the boat!! Nice job.

Do all the boats up there have big signs saying they are not responsible for lost fish and other valuables?? Never seen that down here before...
