LOL! I didn't know what to do with it so I just carried it around for a while! lmao

And here's Matt D with one of his first Hali's on the drop shot!

And Matt's good buddy Ron. He was having trouble getting bit that day so I showed him how to rig up a neat drop shot and he had a fish on in no time. The smile on his face said it all..

I'll probably never forget that day. My first wide open hali bite and my first legal that fought me real good!

This is my girlfriend and I. She caught her first legal sand bass and you can tell how much she enjoyed the thrill of catching a fish by the smile on her face. I was extremely glad that we caught something that day because now she's completely hooked on fishing!

that's something i found out too. if you're going to take a girl out fishing, you better make sure you're going to catch something or you're never going with her again :) targeting perch may be the way to go for a first "fishing date".

My girlfriends first fishing date was great, and I will share the story.

We went to lake perris the day after I fished it alone. The bite was stupid wide open, dropshotting at the PWC ramp. When we got there I setup all the rods, got the cooler from the truck bed, and got ready for the trip. We started to walk to the water and about halfway down she said she had to go pee. Normally I would tell her to go, and meet me at the water when she was done, but I said " I better wait because i dont want you to miss seeing me catch the first fish, I'm going to catch one on the first cast."

I waited for her to get done in the bathroom, and we walked to the water together.....Can you guess what happened on the first cast???? She has been hooked (pun intended) ever since. I hooked and handed about 10 fish in an hour and a half.

I am one of the lucky ones whos fishing partner is also my wife!!!
