Default Carnage on the Condor 7/25

An awesome day of fishing to say the least. Albacore, YFT, yellowtail, dorado and a lone BFT. I ended up with 2 albies and 2 yellowtail. My albies were about 20 and 25 pounds and the yellowtail? Well I've dropped dookies bigger than them lol. I did lose one yellowtail in the kelp and lost a solid 20lb class yellow just out of gaff range when my 40lb line got sawed off by someone else's line.

The highlight of the day was watching a 10 year old boy land the jackpot fish - a 46 pound albacore off of a kelp paddy. Yes, forty six pounds! I told his paps to send his picture to W.O.N. as I'm sure he could make the cover.

This was my first time fishing the salt since June of last year, which was also on the Condor. The crew is top notch and the boat is nice n' roomy, especially when fishing with only 22 anglers. 976-TUNA puts the count at 1 BFT, 15 YFT, 34 albacore, 38 yellowtail and 3 dorado, but I know I saw at least 7 or 8 dodos.

This was a 1 day trip and we were no more than 80 miles from Pt. Loma. Get out there and kill some fish! A little fish porn for your viewing pleasure and I'm off to Zzzzz.

Good job! Looks like there's still hope for a good albie season if the pace continues...

The Condor is definately a nice wide and stable platform to fish off. She's got a big rear which allows 5 trollers at a time, which is nice.
