    Default LB Area 7/21-7/22

Took the wife and kids out for a day of fishing Tuesday. We launched from Davies around 1900 with plans to fish the wall for a few hours then moore up behind one of the oil islands and get any early start. Right after we went under the 2nd street bridge, the coasties we were going by and I point out the 50 cal on their bow to the kids, was but a few minute later they got a close up view when the coasties stopped us for a vessel inspection. Nice guys and we were done in about 10-15 minutes with our new inspection form. We got to the wall and fished a lil while and I think my wife got one calico off the while. Then we went a toured the harbors and the boys checked out the scene. I stopped to fish around one of the oil islands after everyone went to sleep and got a couple bass and a legal lobby, released of course. Around 0530 we headed down and fished the pipe off Huntington, well my wife and fished and boys slept in. The bass were biting and my wife did usual and outfished me down there. After the pipe we worked back to the harbor, and could not find any fish that wanted to play and the wind was coming up. Needless to say, the boys missed the fishing with their late morning. Here are some pics of the larger fish.

My wife got this sandy in Alamito bay when we stopped to try for a spottie or two. We did not get any spotties.

    All fish CPR'ed!

Nice job! good to see your out there. Ive had the worst luck with my boat the last month or so. Everytime it leaves the yard it comes back in need,so I've been taking advantage of the cattle boats... whewhooo

    HESBROS,

Great report and pics. Ya the coasties boat would be great to go paddy hopping on as disputes of any kind would be nipped in the bud just at the sight of those 50 cals !!

    Marvin!!!!!

Well this explains why I was not able to contact you on Monday evening after I got off work to answer your PM about getting out in LA/LB Harbor. You were already out getting time on the water.

Just as well a I was beat after 12 straight long days at the helm of the mother ship #11. I was not in any shape to get out on Tuesday any way!

Looks like Becky put a whoppin on ya again!!! You had all that time alone while they were down under catching some ZZZZZZZZZZ's

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Locating the bugs already. That time is not to far away!!!!!

Great job Becky on some quality Bass. Too bad the Spottie did not cooperate to get you the BASS TRIFECTA.

What? Those baits look familiar and not your usual!!!!!

    Great job Skipper as always!!!!!!

We will work something out for a trip together.
