    Default Ranger 85- 1 1/2 day Tue-Wed

Short story and not much to tell.

    Boat-Ranger 85
    Load- 24

Traveled overnight southwest about 70miles. Played the trolling game all day and had 2 main stops. No troll fish but lots of bluefin jumping and breaking water all over the place. The problem was the bluefin would not bite. Albacore were very scarce. Captain Frank worked his butt off looking for albies but very litttle to be had. The whole Mexican Seiner fleet was in our area and scared the crap out of the bluefin.

    Totals:

    16 Bluefin- 10-15 lbs.
    3 Albacore-20-25 lbs.

    Me- Nada
    Galley Tab-$91

Going back out tonight on the Sea Adventure 80 for an overnighter. A buddy is actually flipping the bill on this one. Otherwise I might have waited a week or so.

I remember being at San Clemente about 20+ years ago with bluefin foaming way back off the stern. The only people that were hooking up were the ones using 12# test.

One of the deck hands was fishing a little bait cast set-up and hooked into one. The captain came up behind and hit the spool release and bird nested him big time. Told him to get back to work, LOL.

Good times on the First String when I was pinheading.

I think The Fish Taco is referring to something of his that stank after using it in foreign waters if you know what I mean.
