    Default Lake Tahoe

    Hey guys....i leave tomorrow to head up there for a week. Any information on fishing????? LAke and nearby rivers and streams will be fished (spinning and fly).

    just got back from a week staying at Incline Village. Caught plenty of fish

    Tahoe is tough from shore and tough in August in general. They stock trout at Cave Rock and a few other places during the summer, but they scatter pretty quickly. If you hit it right you can do ok.

    Spooner Lake at North Shore is OK.

    Donner can be good from shore. Actually from the public fishing areas/docks.

    The Truckee is fishing well from the town down to the border. Restrictions are in place from Boca Reservoir to the border. Fishing is even better in the Nevada stretch where cutthroats are common place.

    Boca Reservoir and the other lakes in the area, Stampede and Prosser are good from a boat, fair from shore. Water levels are good

    if you don't mind driving, Caples Lake and the Carson Rivers (East and West Forks) are excellent choices. They are closer from the South shore.

    These guys are awesome. If you head up that way give them a look.
