    Default BBQ Beef Sandwiches

    Meat:
2-3 pound tri tip (or boneless chuck roast/pot roast)
    Tri tip is the best!

    Ingredients:
    1 can whole cranberry sauce
    1 cup ketchup
1 package of onion soup mix
1 can of non-dark beer (I sometimes substitute with apple juice or grape juice)
    Dash of garlic salt
    Dash of pepper
1-2 of each- Red, yellow, orange bell peppers- diced small
1 large white or sweet onion-diced small
    olive oil

    Cooking:
Mix all the ingredients together and pour into a crockpot, leaving some of the mixture in the bowl. Place the meat in the crockpot and pour the rest of the mixture from the bowl on top of the meat.

Cook on low for 4 hours, then on keep warm for 2-3 more hours. The meat is ready when it falls apart very easily. It may seem done and to hard after a few hours, but the longer it cooks on low heat or warm the better it starts to fall apart.

Sautee the peppers and onions with olive oil until they are soft and the onions are transparent. This is for topping on the sandwich.

The flavor is not the traditional BBQ flavor, but everytime I make it for people the pot is usually left empty. You can certainly add BBQ sauce on the sandwich, it goes well with the ingredients, but it's not needed.

French bread sandwich rolls only partially sliced through work best.
