Thread: 1st species for me on the "OneOne"/pics

Default 1st species for me on the "OneOne"/pics

man, its been a while since ive hit the water.....i got the invite from my buddy ERIC to go out on his sweet Robalo(OneOne) . i was supposed to take out wifey for her bday but the night before she wasnt feeling well and i didnt want for her to be barfing all over the place, so poor me had to fish with out her ;0) anyways..... Launched out of MDR, its was foggy as hell and cold on the way up there good thing i wore 2shirts and a big as$ jacket..lol
Eric was working the electronics and metered some fish, he rigged me up with a swimbait and told me to work a specific part of the area after a couple of cast i landed my 1st sandie.

after working that area i told him that i want to land some lings. "no problem" he says, "i'll put you on your 1st ling". This guy knows his shiat, some of you have seen his reports on Bloodydecks, and GetBent, this guy is the real deal. We ventured off to a spot where he said that we'd get on some lings. He rigged me up and mission accomplished, my 1st ling was a legal ling...

i felt like a such a noob when he had to show me what rigs to use and how to get out of snags, i mean ...i didnt know crap about saltwater fishing from a boat, as some of you know that i only do fresh and surf. After catering me cause i was such a noob Eric gets in on the action and catches a couple of rock fish, bass and lings...

i also caught a couple of more short lings..

and then i ended up catching another legal

after that Eric tell me,..."alright your done, you already have your limit".....bummer, i was getting greedy...lol...he took me to another spot and told me to work the swimbait and i ended off catching another sandy..

after that called it a day and headed back to the launch ramp

big thanks to eric for putting me on my 1st sandie and Ling, 2 legal lings to top it off. And also for putting up with me being such a noob, lol next time i now know what to do....

hope you enjoyed the report and pics, be safe out there yall....

im sure it wont homie. theres plenty of sandbass everywhere and lings...u should do some 3/4 or overnight trips...yea they tend to get packed but u can always just call certain landings and find out how many resies they have. or u can get on the charters that are limited load. i personally like limited trips. but i take what i can get

oh dont forget the twilight trips that just started. those can be fun. lots of bass to be caught
