Thanks guys
I've fished NPH for about 22 years before moving to southern Indiana. Here is my preference in order. 1. frozen salted anchovies. 2. frozen regular anchovies. 3. Bloodworms. I use a whole anchovie and I stitch the hook and line around the backbone 3 or 4 times. After you stitch it thru the last time, I burry the hook with just the very point sticking out at the tail end. I've never left a day of fishing without atleast 1 keeper Hali in NPH. I'm hearing alot of people say the Berkley gulp camo sand worms are the bomb. I'll be using them. I'm possibly lookin for an extra person to share costs on a skiff at Davie's Locker end of June when I will be out there on vacation. Let me know if your interested. Hope all my spots are still good
oops, almost forgot. I use the 20# spiderwire for line. As far as hooks, I just eyeball them for size. I have never kept up with hook sizes, but use a live bait hook about the size of a nickle if you will be threading your bait as I have listed above. If not, then stay away from the live bait hooks they're too wide. I have had no problems hooking fish very easily with those red hooks that advertise a tip that is supposed to be razor sharp. They are what they advertise. It's real easy to stick yourself with em. I'll be using those too.
Gulp! Sandworms.
