    I was up there for 15 days working right on the river. Watched it swell every day. So it's fast deep & wide, but still fishable, if ya hit the right spots. I fished 2 times for 2 limits c&r except 1. I go up there all the time & fish so...
    Anyways theres alot of fish up there, Then the wild area is open now too.
    Heard of a few decents lately, but hike the goat trail till ya find a fishable spot.

    try a spot people refer to as "salmon creek" its past kernville but before mcnallys theres a sign on your right says salmon creek fall just park and cross the road to the river we recently crd 50 from that honey hole. great place to camp also
