Penne pasta w/vodka cream sauce
I tried making this last night for the first time, and it was delicious.
1 onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed/finely chopped
1 can pureed/crushed tomatoes
1 can peas
1 cup heavy or whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon crushed red peppers
3 tablespoons vodka
Penne pasta
Over medium heat, cook the onion until soft in the olive oil, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic until brown - about another 30 seconds.
Stir in the tomatoes, red pepper, vodka and salt, bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes.
Stir in cream and peas. Toss with pasta that you should have already cooked.
