Newbie Alert! LOL
Yup, new to the boards and look forward to chatting. I used to fish a lot when I was a kid in the San Joaquin Valley (French Camp). The SJ river was my backyard and I pulled a lot of channel cat out of it. Another fav spot was Mosquito Lake up near Bear Valley - that's where I got my first BIG trout, at the tender age of 7.
I'm in SoCal now and my boyfriend and I just purchased Hobie Kayaks. He got the Mirage Outback and I got the Mirage Sport, fishing models. He's more into ocean fishing and we're going to try both (I'm more freshwater, but like to kelp fish, too). A new adventure! Woo Hoo!
We're both in the hi-desert. I just started fishing the aqueduct which is just up the road from me and have been coveting Stiper Bill's site. I've tried a few times locally, here in Phelan. No luck yet, but time will tell! :mrgreen:
Anyway, wanted to say howdy and have seen some awesome posts out there. Keep up the good work!
