    Default Walker Lake Nevada

Anyone here fished Walker lake in Nevada recently??
I'm referring to the lake outside Hawthorne Nv.
Fished it a couple years back and was still pretty good.Heard teh salinity was way up and the fish were all going to die within 2 yrs.Well its been 2 yrs now.
Curious if anyone has fished it this season or within the last 2 yrs.
    Thanks.

Pyramids cutts are generaly much bigger, easily going 8-10lbs on a good fish.
Walkers fish generally in the 2-3lb range.
I just read fishsniffer reports saying its pretty much a dead fishery now.
Really sad.I used to fiah there with my wife b4 we had kids.Took my oldest son (6 at the time,2006) fishing there and scored 3-4lbers most every day.The ranchers and Indians have the rights to the water shed and dont have a better way to irrigate the fields except to flood them.(Really stupid as most of the water evaporates.-figure-desert+water=evaporation)
This takes all the water from the Walker lake drainage, killing the lake.
I guess the damage they do to the enviroment is justified, after all they've lived there 100yrs and it belongs to them right?
Amazing how earth was created over tens of thousands of years and we manage to destroy
    it in less than 100.
As stewards of this planet we suck......
