went to lpez hoping it would be better then 2wks ago when i went last...got to the lake by 545,fished the marina and landed a 2lb. lmb that was nesting,released...went to the dock thats next to the boathouse and started working the shoreline,with lil love..but was able to land 4 crappie and a nice redear,note the redear is getting hot..1/2 semi.inflated crawler on a baitholder hook is the ticket....my girl and i both limit on stockers,planted that day,she had fun....right b4 we left we fished the cove thats by the entrance to the lake and all i could hear is my girl screamming that she had a fish...a 2.31 crappie that was weight in at JJ mini mart in arroyo grande,cause the marina had already closed....nice way to finish the day...

Its fun to fish when the stock truck arrives.... I guess you witnessed the pelican and cormorant carnage hour too.
