Cat on Friday, Clemente no go.Armed with Pearl swimbaits

Jumped on EA's boat Friday with my cousin and Socrates.Destination was Clemente but ended up at cat.Weather was not good for a clemente run
this is what it looked like by the rigs

A few miles out from Cat it turned nasty swell from every direction and building wind.Turned back to cat and fished the east end for a nice pick on some quality bass.


Talked with Warren for a bit nice grady he is selling.Seemed that all morning long Socrates was hanging out by me,(more action over here :lol: licking his chops



Throwing The new Peal brand swimbaits I picked up at performance tackle was the hot ticket with the Bleeding Mack color getting them good.




Big fish went 5.3#s



Worked our way up the front side, back side was blown out and picked one up here and there.Watched the fire burn and the helicopters dropping water for a while.Got to long point and now the front side was blown out.So we made the call to head for the barn.salvaged a decent day after all.Caught all our fish on the :D Pearl swimbaits in the Bleeding Mack and Rainbow trout colors.Maybe next time The weather gods :x will allow us to hammer those Clemente bass

Yea fishing was not to bad considering the crummy conditions and the limitations with the weather but we made do.I think I got 10 fish before my swimmie was beat up(bit off tail).Those Pearls really last.We only had one dog on the boat.I could not imagine 2 of them cuz Socrates is a fish eating machine.As soon as he see's someone bendo he runs over to you and tries to take a bite out of the fish.The battle really begins when unhooking the fish, fighting off the dam dog.This goes on all day long back and forth and don't accidently drop one on the deck cuz he jumps on it and crushes its head and eats the head and about half the body till he is full. :shock:
