Thread: San Pablo Reservoir

    Default San Pablo Reservoir

Does anyone have any general info on San Pablo? My brother and I are up here on business and I want to put him on some fish. I brought my gear, so any suggestions, spots, ect would be much appreciated!

    Thanks.

Feel free to email me as well, if you want to keep it low key. We'll be renting a boat.

    Default San Pablo

I used to fish San Pablo a lot when i lived near there if your gonna rent a boat i would try trolling and bait fishing Scow Canyon. It is the finger strait across the lake from the marina. You will want to grab a lake map at the entrance. ALso check out www.norcalfishing.com for current fishing conditions up there. That has always been productive spot for me using super dupers and rapalas.

Not the trolling part but there are a lot of bass in the back of scow canyon. Trout is hot right now up there. I have never really targeted bass at that lake but they are there. you should ask the guys at the marina for info...

I would check on the status of the construction at San Pablo reservoir

They might still be doing a lot of construction which might have long delays sitting in lines for the trucks. They may have lowered the water level way down also, to work on the dam.

You can always go to Lake Chabot... which is south of san Pablo reservoir off of I-580. It has good fishing, and kayaking...
