I will be up in Anchorage for a week near the end of may and I haven't found any charters close by. Does anybody know a good Halibut charter out there? Also, will the Salmon fishing be good at the end of May?

Try Ship Creek, right in downtown Anchorage, they pull huge Kings out of there all summer and no need to charter a boat.
May is a bit early but you're in decent shape for salmon. Haven't been halibut fishing in anchorage, but out of Homer ( 2hr drive or so) it's unreal!
I was getting 15 pounders within seconds of the weigh hitting bottom. kept letting em go till i nailed a 70 pounder! 4 hour trip, everybody got their limits.
