Default Lopez on the Ides of March

After fishing last week and bringing home 2 nice fish my kids begged me to go out early today. I had no problems agreeing. 7:00 we were at the lake... 36 degrees today.

The fish were not jumping like last week but they were still there somewhere. So we rigged up one pole each with both an inflated night crawler and power bait.

At about 7:40 my sons pole goes "tap tap" ... fish one! He never believed there was a fish on there until he saw it. He got a nice 15" rainbow.

Even with many layers and hot chocolate and blankets and .... the kids never warmed up and were begging to go home by 8:30. We got home before my wife was even awake.

Until next Friday when I have a day off and the kids have school

    Default Fishing with kids

Great report and that's a good 'bow!!
I have kids, too, and know how it is. I take the younger ones out and 5 minutes later they want to play. I took my 12 year old out to Big Bear last november and she got cold fast. I was in a short sleeve ready for action and she wanted to go home.

    But, they are priceless!!!!!!!1
