    Default rockpile 5-6 (late)

took my buddy Marshall fishing. He said he wanted some bonies...

headed out to the rockpile (south of coronados)

all you want on big bonies (5-10+lbs.) kept limits..

got lucky and got one yellow... bout 15lbs.

    fishing is getting good..

In the second picture your friend is either a small dude or that bone is from the "Land That Time Forgot". Biggest bonito I've ever seen. Are you sure that was 10lbs?...kinda makes that yellow look like a dink?

Thank you for the report and pictures.

I bet those bonito fought better than that yellow. I caught a 6 or 7 pounder on 12 lb. test when I was younger. Took me around the boat twice. Caught a yellow that day that was bigger that took half the time to bring in.

The bonito hit a mackeral about 10"-12". Thought I had a big yellow. The deckhand was kinda pissed he followed me around the boat all that time for a bonito 8)
