Default Freezing at Crowley May 4-6

This is my first post with pics, so here goes....

Went to Crowley and dropped the boat in the water Friday around noon. Gale force winds and whitecaps kept us off the water. Visited Convict for more wind and then decided to hit Intake II. Wind chill sub freezing, but caught a nice Alpers on an inflated wormie:

Next day hit Crowley: Gale force winds and snow flurries at Alligator Point.

Took this picture of the snow storm north of the lake, heading this way!!

Took a couple of portraits in a brief snow flurry.

    Chummer in first stage frostbite....

Here is Glubber, missing his warm office back home...

We caught our limit and also C&R a few browns on the troll. All fish
caught at 4 colors on Silver Rapalas or Gold/Black CD5's.

Back to the dock. Note blowing flags and rough water in the marina:

Ahhhh, a successful trip ends with the traditional cleaning table:

Another wonderful trip to the Sierras, but a little cold. Next year,
read weather report and bring the longjohns!

Nice looking fish! My daughter and I were at Intake II friday night and froze our a$$es off! Saturday at Sabrina the eye hooks at the tip of the rods kept icing up and wouldn't allow the line to go through.

Still had some quality dad - daughter time :)

I'll take a cold lake to a warm office any day. Nice report. Not a trip you'll forget any time soon. :D

    Homers,
I remember seeing you, although I was having a hard time focusing because my teeth would not stop chattering. :) Glad you had a good time with your daughter.
