Thread: Sight fishing halibut

    Default Sight fishing halibut

Made a couple of stops today - fished the dropping then rising high tide.
First stop the tide was too low to get a line out.

The birds were diving, but a bit too far out.

Fished there until noon and moved to some VERY clear and clean water:

I picked up one dink ( 10- 12" ) butt and then another short:

The water was so clear I was able to see both fish strike. There were also a couple chasers, but no takers I was able to see also.

Better slather the sunscreen on, today was a scorcher. Very little wind until around 3:30, it became off-shore after that.
