Started my trek Friday by going to Bishop and posting flyers for my Manzanar Lecture, walking tour and exhibit at Brock's, Mac's, Barrett's and Culver's tackle shop.

While at Culver's had the privilege to run into Joshua from the FNN and also Marlon Meade from Berkley who has been extremely supportive of my Manzanar project.

The lecture, exhibit and walking tour were well received and I want to personally thank Dave Strege for that writing that wonderful news article that appeared in the O.C. Register...below

During the Manzanar Pilgrimage that was on Saturday, April 28th, they had over 1,100 visitors that viewed the exhibit. A reporter from the Inyo Register and another free lance magazine writer were present also interested in doing a story on the exhibit and my Manzanar fishing project.

On Sunday and Monday, I gave my lecture and walking tour to a full house on Sunday. Below are photos of the visitors that joined me on the walking tour at the fishing sites where the internees used to fish. There were several that came out from the South Bay and from Orange County specifically for the lecture and walking tour and not to fish. The ones from Orange Country read Dave Strege article and decided to make the trip for the lecture and tour.

Below are shots of the tour group.

Below Map of Manzanar and surrounding areas. Creeks that were fished are highlighted in "purple".

I want to thank everyone who came to Manzanar and supported this event. Because of the visitor response, the National Park Service at Manzanar has ask if I could do this program again. Memorial weekend or the 4th of July Holiday week are being considered. Also on Sunday, September 23rd at 2 pm, I will be presenting this same lecture and illustrated talk at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Lil' Tokyo.

Finally...last but not least...despite the hectic schedule preparing and doing the lecture and tour, I did manage to squeeze a few hours at Lone Pine Creek and caught an easy limit of some nice rainbows using the "Dreaded Threaded" crawler
