Can the general public go float tube fishing on Canyon Lake? I thought it was private, but I heard that for a small fee, you can 'tube there..
Called my buddy who lives and fishes there every day. He says no but here is a number you can call to check for sure from the folks who patrol the lake>

you have to know someone who works there to be let in.. but there is always back roads u can take to get into the back side off hwy 74
No you can't fish the main Canyon Lake area. But
there is a part of Canyon Lake anybody can fish
as previously said. Best way is off Getz Rd in Quail Valley.
However it is best to have a 4 wheel vehicle and you
would never want to float tube and leave your vehicle unattended,
in that area.
