Why Put Reflective Tape On Your Sand & Rock Spikes?

There are several reasons why i put light reflective tape on my sand & rock spikes.
1) Lets others know those pieces belong to me.
2) At night you may not see the sand spikes protruding out of the sand or the rock spikes sticking out of outcroppings. This could lead into accidents if you're not aware of their placements.
3) At night it lets you keep tabs on your gear when others are around.

I also use cord attached to biner clips as a "safety leash" to tether my fishing rigs to the spikes in case a strike dislodges the rods out of the spikes. A $3 investment could save those expensive rigs!

(I also put light reflective tape on my rods. Distinguishes my fishing gear from others by the colors i use & how it's placed).
